How to Use PET Thermal Lamination Film

A laminating machine (hot laminator) is required to use PET thermal laminating film rolls. The process involves melting the EVA layer onto substrates like paper by passing the film over a heated roller under appropriate pressure.

Operation Guidance on Laminating Process
  1. Adjust roller pressure and temperature according to paper and ink types
  2. Conduct small trial volumes before mass lamination when changing sizes
  3. Normal process temperature: 90°C-105°C (203°F - 221°F)
  4. Ensure ink is completely dry before laminating
  5. Store materials in low-temperature, dry environments

Factors affecting lamination quality:

  • Use of metal ink
  • Ink containing excessive wax, dried oil, adhesive, or silicon additives
  • Overly thick ink application
  • Insufficient ink drying time
  • Excessively humid paper
  • Too much surface powder
